What is the required recording length?
30–40 seconds. Recording stops automatically at 40 seconds, and Download or Submit is only unlocked from 30 seconds.
What if my lighting is not perfect?
Slight imperfections are acceptable provided your face remains clearly visible. Lighting passes from a score of 70.
What background should I use?
Use a clean white wall or approved 51Talk Studio background. You should remain clearly visible.
Why can't I download my video?
Downloads are blocked below 30 seconds, above 40 seconds, or when the rendered MP4 fails a production check (resolution, codec, audio track).
How long should my script be?
Aim for about 76 words (65–87) so it lands naturally in 30–40 seconds, roughly 35 seconds.
Is my final video stored anywhere?
When the PH IT Recording Archive is switched on by the studio owner, a master copy of your final validated MP4 is preserved in the PH IT Cloud Archive with a SHA-256 integrity check. Nothing else is archived.
